Lifestyle Photojournalist

When you engage  SouthWind Photography as your wedding photographer, you are not hiring a traditional photographer.

It is my belief that your wedding ceremony is a commitment to each other before God, family, and friends making it one of the most important events of your life, and that the reception is a celebration of that love.

That said, neither should be shaped or influenced by the process of recording them for the future.

I am at your wedding to record the events, people, and places as they are and as much as possible by natural-enhanced lighting. By doing this I can leave your wedding undisturbed, and do my part to simply record your celebration of love.

Besides traditional formal wedding portraits, I specialize in capturing those special moments that only happen once in a lifetime. That natural smile, the emotion in the brides face as she says her vows,  the love the groom has for his bride, the tear in her mothers eye, all captured for your memories.

All the while trying not to interfere with groups or events but rather record them in a photojournalistic approach in order to optimize results. This way I capture people as they are so for generations to come you can tell the story of your day.

With over 30 years of professional photography experience, I know you will love the captured moments recorded in a lifestyle photojournalism approach to  “seize the essence” of your day.
