answer. Due to the nature of our business, most of our work is
done on location and we are often away from the phone
during business hours.
Booking a Wedding
Dates are
considered booked and reserved upon receipt of the deposit and a
signed contract. You should book your date in
advance so you get to chose your photographer, instead of having to
take who's leftover
Wedding
sessions
Upon requesting a date, we will
allow one week for the wedding contract and deposit to be received. If we do not receive the deposit/contract within that week the
date will be held open subject to the first contract received.
The 1/3 deposit
required to book the date is applied to the package price, and upon
receipt of deposit we will send you a copy of your contract showing
the deposit paid and the balance due. All Wedding
balances are due two weeks prior to the wedding date.
Portrait
sessions
Portrait sessions may be booked and
reserved in advance with a $100 deposit. If you would prefer to
wait until you arrive at the St Augustine area to give us a call,
that is fine, we can set a date/time then, over the phone with a
credit card.
All portrait session require a deposit, with the
balance due at the session.
Wedding
Consultations
We always welcome meetings with our Bride
and Grooms
so we can discuss exactly what your expectations are for the
captured moments of your once in a lifetime day. Please keep in mind
that we are normally covering events on weekends making it almost
impossible to schedule consultations, on weekends.
Glitter
We do not recommend or discourage anything
you may want to ware for your portrait or wedding, but we do ask
that you do not use glitter. Our professional flashes reflection
from the glitter looks white like dandruff, and perspiration only
compounds the problem.
Reviewing our portfolio
If you wish
to review our portfolio of
work, we have over 5,000 photos in the
online gallery which are
representative of our style of photography. These galleries include
entire weddings from start to finish. Unlike many photographers who
only post their best 1-percent of images ever shot, we display
everything we shoot.
We are always available for consultation
in person by appointment or by
email or phone.
We realize that it
can be difficult to contract services and make plans when you are
out of town, so we have tried to make it as convenient as possible
for you.
Cancellation
or Date Change:
Military/Police/Fire Departments/Federal Agents: We support and want to extend our
appreciation to all those who are serving our County. If orders are changed
requiring a change in the wedding date all deposits will be
forwarded. Sufficient notice required, and you must advise SouthWind
Photography as soon as your ordered are changed.
Confidentially: We understand that in
some lines of work you may have a need for confidentially, and elect
not to have your wedding displayed on our website. There is no
additional fee, and all you have to do is simply tell us at time of
booking.
Photography
and Proofs: The
number of proofs you receive of your photography session is determined by
the package you purchase. Our packages are designed to
generally cover the amount of photography needed for the amount of
time included in the package. Please review the packages
carefully and book the package appropriate to your wedding.
Overtime and Additional Hours:
Additional hours can
be added to our packages. However they must be booked with
your contract. Due to the nature of our business our photographers may have another booking
before or after your event and cannot accommodate your request the
day of your wedding. Additional hours rates can be found on the standard price
list.
Deliver of proofs
and DVD:
Depending on the season, While we always strive to get your proofs
to you as soon as possible, it it usually takes about two to three
weeks, but can be longer during holidays especially Christmas.
Please be sure to keep us updated of any
address changes.
Your proofs are
photographs provided to you from your wedding, or portrait session. These proofs are provided so that you may
select your enlargements and albums, and are not considered custom
prints or LEV 2 Digitally Mastered Prints. If a proof color or contrast is off don’t worry, we will make
any corrections before printing your enlargements or albums.

Designer Nuleather
covered proof albums are printed in
an 8.5x11 bound designer album with six proofs per page, mixed with
larger images for a keepsake album of the entire
event.
DVD/CD of Proofs in High Resolution:
All packages come with a DVD or CD depending on the size of all proofs in High Resolution, with
copyright licensing for printing as many proofs for friends and family
as you like, and use on social networking sites like Facebook.
Enlargements and
reprints: Should be ready for shipping within four to six weeks after
receipt of payment. This may vary during peak wedding season and Christmas
holidays.
Shipping: All wedding and portrait packages include
free shipping of your proofs. Enlargements and album prices do not including
shipping.
Rush service: Rush service is
available for proofs for a flat fee of $150, and 50% of the
enlargements;
unfortunately, we can not off our rush service on albums
